BURDEN OF PROOF

Text: 1 Corinthians 4:20

Our Lord Jesus Christ exemplified the life He expects of believers while He was walking the face of the earth after He grew out of patience with the unproductive fig tree. Also, we noticed in the parables that Jesus told the disciples about talents and how the servant with nothing to show received a damning judgement.

God has deposited things in every believer from which He expects a return that commensurate with the grace given.

The burden of proof, therefore, lies on all believers to show our results to the world in our actions, reactions, and dispositions. This is because it is in our fruits (joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, etc) that our father is glorified (John 15:8).

Believers must therefore prove to all and sundry that we are beholding a higher realm where lack of evidence is not tolerated in the smallest measure.

It will do God’s kingdom a great world of good if believers are living proofs in every sphere of their life and drawing men unto God by being good ambassadors of the kingdom.

So GO ON then, tell it to the world in your actions and not only in your words how much transforming God’s power has been to you in your actions and reactions.

Shalom!
